Welcome to the second Purley Festival, a vibrant celebration of local culture, talent, and community spirit.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Rotary Field in Purley, our festival is a two-day extravaganza set to take place on 7th and 8th September 2024. It offers a blend of live music featuring local bands and tribute acts, a variety of food stalls serving delectable cuisines, and a beer tent offering a selection of refreshing beverages.

Our Purley Festival is not just about entertainment; it’s a platform for community engagement. We believe in giving back, and part of the festival’s proceeds go towards supporting local charities and community projects.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! We have an array of activities planned for children, including face painting and a bouncy castle.

We invite you to join us at the Purley Festival. So, mark your calendars, gather your friends and family, and get ready to immerse yourself in a celebration of culture, community, and camaraderie.

The inaugural Purley Festival took part in 2023 as part of the This is Croydon, London Borough of Culture programme of events.

What is the Purley bid?

The Purley Business Improvement District (BID) is an organisation formed to enhance the business interests of the Purley area by investing in services, projects, and events. As a business-led initiative, it works towards creating a vibrant and prosperous business community in Purley.

By pooling resources, businesses can fund improvements and initiatives that they could not achieve individually. This includes marketing and promotional activities, improved safety and security measures, and beautification projects.

What is the Purley Panel?

The Purley Panel is a voluntary collective community group located in Purley that represents all key stakeholders within the Purley area, including local residents and various community groups. They exist as the voice of the local community, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed and taken into account in the decision-making processes that affect the area.

One of the notable projects undertaken by the Purley Panel was the development of the “Purley Vision and Regeneration Framework” in collaboration with Urban Symbiotics. This framework aimed at capturing the views, needs, and aspirations of a large and varied number of people from diverse groups within the community such as mosques, local churches, and parent groups.
